Installation notes

Windows

The standalone installer is currently unsigned and Windows SmartScreen may display a security warning. This does not apply to Microsoft Store installation.

macOS

The current macOS packages are not yet Apple-signed and notarized, so macOS may display an unidentified developer warning.

Linux

AppImage support is currently experimental and compatibility may vary across Linux distributions and environments.

Having trouble installing Unfour on Windows?

Unfour requires Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime on Windows. Most Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs already include it, so you can install Unfour as usual.

If setup asks you to install WebView2 — especially on an offline, managed, Windows Server, or LTSC machine — install the runtime from Microsoft before installing Unfour.

For offline installs, download the Evergreen Standalone Installer. Do not use the Bootstrapper, which needs internet access. Choose x64 on typical Intel or AMD 64-bit Windows. Microsoft also offers x86 and ARM64.
